Change is good. There is no denying that change is a beautiful thing and it is an important part of life to embrace. If you find yourself stuck in a rut in life or if you simply feel like you really should be initiating change, then we’re here to help you identify which areas of you and your life can benefit from a bit of change. There’s nothing like a little guidance when you’re feeling overwhelmed! Think of your life as a bed of soil, and the thing you invest effort into and energy to are the plants growing in this garden bed. Here we’re listing the weeds you should remove to keep your garden looking great and growing fabulously!

  1. Pride

Having pride is going to cast a shadow over the things in your life that just aren’t working out. Unfortunately, you have to identify these things and acknowledge them to make changes. Humbling yourself is the first step in admitting what isn’t going right, and thereafter comes the learning curve and the acceptance. Nobody said it would be easy, but it most certainly will be worth it.  As you let go of pride, make sure you let go of shame and guilt as well. Both of these elements are going to hold you back from true growth and evolution.
  1. The Comfort Zone

Nothing good ever comes of being in a comfort zone. This is simply a cold, hard, fact. Change only begins when you can pluck yourself out of your comfort zone, which is far easier said than done, especially for individuals with weaker willpower. However, where there is a will, there is a way, as the adage goes, and even the smallest fraction of willingness is enough to build on to take you to where you need to be. Live with risk. Face the music. Know that everything is possible and that you have the power to make things possible. Sculpt your reality.

  1. Your Expectations

Even as a kid, you probably had a picture in your mind of who you would be in your future. Perhaps you even planned it down to the T – how you will look, what you will do, where you will be. Chances are, life did not exactly play out the way you imagined it would. This is completely normal because your expectations were from a child’s perspective and mindset.

Don’t slow down your journey in the present by still holding on to those expectations and trying to meet them. You don’t owe your past self a thing. The past is gone and the future is to come but the present is right now and you have to work with what you have right now to take you to where you want to be. Let go of who you are not, and don’t try to be what you are not, either.

  1. Certainty

Few things in life are certain. The joke goes, that only two things are certain in a lifetime – death and taxes. This is very true. If you begin anything you do in certainty, you are more likely than not going to be let down by doubt and disappointment. But beginning your journey with doubt and uncertainty will leave you with nothing but disappointment. Don’t tie yourself down with certainty. Life is fluid. Move with it, let it flow, and let it carry you places.

  1. Chasing Pleasure

If you’re seeking satisfaction by chasing after pleasure, your life is likely to feel very shallow and meaningless. Life is actually about seeking fulfillment, so you should refocus your efforts on things that make you feel good and happy.

If you are doing something to please others or simply for a round of applause, it isn’t for the right intentions and it won’t bring you the sense fulfillment you are truly searching for. Fulfillment is important for everyone. It is what makes us happy, is some or other way.

Don’t feel like it’s tool ate to make any changes in your life – it’s very true when they say it is never too late. Take some time to reassess your life and consider these points. Change what you can, and plan to change the rest by another defined time frame. Don’t procrastinate and don’t be fearful. Change is beautiful and it is also difficult – it’s meant to be! Embrace it!
