Shaun T Shares Tips on How to Set Attainable New Year Fitness Resolutions for 2019
Setting Attainable Goals
Celebrity Fitness Expert, Shaun T, has offered advice to those with the desire to have a healthier 2019. According to Shaun T, the case several times is that people have attainable New Year resolutions. However, these resolutions and goals are not attainable when it comes to the time frame these people fix for the attainment of the goals.
In other words, he opined that a lot of people put themselves under a lot of pressure, and that is counterproductive. 40-year-old Shaun and father to two kids further advised as to the importance of focusing more on the gradual step-by-step process that builds up to the achievement of these goals.
Steps To Living Healthy
The fitness expert noted that no trick exists when it comes to living healthier and he mentioned that thinking a rapid change is possible would only amount to believing an illusion. Shaun T who created the “Insanity” workout said it’s important for each individual to create his or her calculation. He noted that when most people begin a workout program, it invariably translates to them embarking on a journey belonging to someone else.
He added that working with mental preparation for your workout journey is equally as important as when you prepare your routine and your diet. He further explained that the primary reason why most people decide to start working out and the same reason why they decide to quit both boils down to what their minds tell them to do. He noted that it isn’t the body that tells you the number of squats or push-ups to do. It is left to the mind to process the exact thing the body needs and desires.
The Importance Of Mental Strength
Shaun said that for you to develop mental health activities that are non-negotiable, there is a need for you to push for more. He advised setting negotiable things that tend to boost and enhance your confidence and makes you feel good in particular aspects of your life.
According to Shaun T, attaining physical fitness is hinged on your mental strength. He noted that it would be impossible for you to get that perfect body considering that the human body is always changing. However, it is possible for you to get better daily and ultimately find sustainability just by sticking with that personal program you created.
About Insanity Workout
Shaun T’s workout program is known as Insanity, and it is a full body workout that does not need any equipment or gym. You carry out your exercise at home and use your body weight as resistance. The workout program revolves around a fitness method known as max interval training.
In a traditional interval training, when you carry out exercise at an intense pace for a lesser duration, you go ahead to longer rests in between. That is with the aim of increasing the aerobic fitness level as you burn fat.
With max interval training, your intense workout takes place for 3 minutes intervals, and you take 30 seconds break in between. As indicated on Insanity website, when you exercise at this extremely intense level, you can burn as much as a thousand calories in one hour.
The Insanity workout program comprises ten workouts. Each of the routines takes between half an hour to a full hour for completion, and you are expected to do that six days in one week. Over the course of the program, you are at liberty to alter the workout schedule weekly.
The first month consists of 5 total body workouts including Fit Test, Cardio Recovery, Pure Cardio, Plyometric Cardio Circuit and Power and Resistance Cardio.
Before you start the routine for the second month, it is expected that you have one week of recovery comprising of a daily balance and core cardio routine. Even though you’ll still end up sweating, this isn’t as intense as the ones you did for the first four weeks.
The idea behind that is to get your body prepared for the second month which is way more extreme than the first. In the second month, there are four new workouts namely Max Interval Circuit, Max Cardio Conditioning, Max Interval Plyo, and Max Recovery.
