Beyond Diet – Should You Follow It to Lose Weight and Boost Metabolism?
Among several popular eating plans, the Beyond Diet is one. It involves a three-step system that aids in long-lasting weight loss. If you are on a Beyond Diet, you should take powdered greens supplement, which accentuates energy levels in the body, optimizing the body’s immune function, and boosting overall health. Those who adhere to the diet swear by the plan’s potential to fight cravings, promote metabolism, burn fat, etc. However, some people didn’t find the plan justified and sustainable. Below are some details about the Beyond Diet.
What Is the Beyond Diet?
The Beyond Diet is a weight loss plan that nutritionists say, helps you to burn fat and shed off the extra pounds. You just have to follow three steps. According to the founder of the program, De Los Rios, the Beyond Diet helps you choose the right kind of foods that promote metabolism, cut down any type of craving. It thus aids in weight maintenance on a long-term basis. The entire diet has three phases. During the first and second phases, you get the meal plans and recipes.
Both phases are almost two weeks long. By the time the second phase arrives, you have the potential to take the Beyond Diet Metabolism Test. This test will determine which foods you have to consume to make the best your metabolism. After you finish the first two phases, you should have your meal plan abiding by the programs’ principle and, of course, the recipes that have listed on their website.
Foods To Eat
Those who are on a Beyond Diet should eat more on fruits and veggies. This is besides their meat, fish, and poultry consumption. You can also have herbs, spices, seeds, and nuts. Eggs, whole grains, and dairy products though, are restricted over the first four weeks of the program. However, you can include them in your diet after the initial phase gets over. To explain things elaborately, the foods that are allowed on the diet plan come under different segments. For fruits, you can have apples, berries, melons, oranges, bananas, and kiwis. For veggies, you can have avocados, kale, spinach, bell peppers, broccoli, sweet potatoes, celery, and tomato.
Egg whites and a limited amount of yolks are permissible. In the meat, poultry, and fish category, chicken breast and thighs, salmon, cod, bacon, and sausage that is free from nitrite, ground, or sliced turkey are allowed. In the nuts section, you can enjoy almonds, walnuts, cashews, and peanuts. Seeds include chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, and sunflower seeds. For herbs and spices, go for black pepper, parsley, oregano, rosemary, cinnamon, dill, and basil. While cooking recipes, you should use extra virgin oil and coconut oil.
Foods Not to Eat
When you are on the plan, there are different types of foods that you should avoid. Getting into the depth of these sweeteners are a big no-no. This means you should avoid, such as maple syrup, honey, table sugar, and artificial sweeteners, sugar-sweetened beverages such as sweet tea, juice, sports drinks, and soda. Also, avoid soy products like soy milk, tofu, tempeh, and edamame are the food items that are a strict no-no. Aside from that, you should not consume fats and oils like peanut oil, soybean oil, vegetable oil, and canola oil, refined grains such as pasta, white rice, and white bread, and processed foods like chips, cookies, fast food, and any kind of baked stuff.
Does the Beyond Diet Help in Weight Loss?
There’s no research evidence yet, to support the effectiveness of this diet. However, there are several components of this program that might aid in weight loss. The Beyond Diet emphasizes pushing out processed foods like chips, cookies, fast food, frozen meals, and refined carbs from your diet. These foods are known to be quite high in calories and somewhat lacks in vitamins, minerals, and fiber, which are essential for the human body.
The plan also puts restrictions on any kind of sugar-sweetened beverages. It stresses consuming fiber, which you get from fruits and vegetables and different foods that are high in protein. Therefore, the implementation of a few principles of the program might improve your appetite control and promote weight loss as well.
With all of that said, remember that the Beyond Diet plan can prove to be expensive. Additionally, it cuts out several major food items from the list and encourages you to eat processed meats, which are unhealthy.
