American mixed martial arts icon Ronda Rousey also shines as an Olympic judo bronze medalist, author, and actress. Starting her MMA career in 2011, she quickly rose to become Strikeforce’s last Women’s Bantamweight Champion, later joining UFC. Her athletic excellence was acknowledged in a 2015 ESPN poll, naming her the greatest female athlete of all time.
Outside the ring, Ronda, residing in Venice, California as of 2023, advocates for diverse causes, including animal welfare through charity auctions. Her personal life is equally eventful; she married UFC fighter Travis Browne in 2017, and in 2021, they welcomed their daughter La’akea. She has hinted at putting her gloves down at least twice.
