The Australian actor is among those 24 performers in the entertainment industry to have grabbed the Triple Crown of Acting, which includes a Tony Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and an Academy Award. His portrayal of David Helfgott in the 1996 biographical drama, Shine earned him a Screen Actors Guild Award. He also won a Critics’ Choice Movie Award, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe Award, and an Academy Award as well for the same role.
Rush’s partnership with his better half, Jane Menelaus, has been rocking to date. Walking down the aisle in the year 1988, the two have been together for the last 32 years or so and are inseparable. Menelaus had once been diagnosed with breast cancer but managed to sail through as she had Rush as her pillar of support. Of course, her health insurance policies played a key role.
