How to Buy, Prep, and Cook Delicious Dishes This Easter

Easter is one of the most important festivals for Christians around the world. It is celebrated in honor of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the fleshly manifestation of God, who is fully divine and fully human. Christian religious scholars believe that the event happened 3 days after the Romans Crucified Jesus in around 30AD. Christians have strong hopes that they too will experience the resurrection of Jesus Christ in heaven. Easter is celebrated every year on the first Sunday according to the full moon sighting after March 21.

No festival is complete without a delicious dinner. The traditional Easter menu includes traditional bread, ham, and lamb roast, along with sidelines, tempting desserts, and chilled holiday-centric drinks. Here are some mouth-watering dishes to include in your Easter dinner menu for your family members and guests.

It can be your delicious main course dish for eastern dinner. To prepare this dish, a piece of lamb leg needs to be marinated with brown sugar, orange marmalade, some cloves, and Dijon mustard for 4-5 hours so that all the ingredients get completely absorbed by the lamb meat. It is then baked in the oven at 140 Fahrenheit for two hours so that the meat gets completely tender.

Easter Devil Eggs

To prepare creamy Easter devil eggs, you need softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, paprika powder, mixed herbs, Dijon mustard, and salt to taste. Mix all these ingredients well and fill in between hard-boiled eggs. They are perfect to serve as an appetizer on Easter evening.

Pea and Mint Soup

This one is another easy starter, which is also ideal for regions that still have winters. Boil the peas in the water, grind them to make a thin liquid, add cooking cream, black pepper, and salt, and cook for some more time, until you get the desired consistency. Serve them hot to your family members and guests with garlic bread.

Each portion needs to be surrounded by potato peel and the tray needs to be put in the oven to bake the potatoes until the cheese gets melted.

Parmesan Asparagus

It is the simplest side dish, with only four ingredients and minimal time required to cook. Boil the Asparagus for 3 minutes, then bake them with butter, a sprinkle of pepper, and desired amount of parmesan cheese for 15 minutes.

Zucchini Casserole

It sounds weird but is quite tasty and loved by most vegetarians. For this, cut zucchini into thin slices, and layer them on a greasy dish along with shredded carrots. Put boiled pasta on it and top up the dish with cheddar and mozzarella cheese and bake it in a preheated oven at 120 Fahrenheit for 30 minutes.

Whatever you have on your Easter dinner menu, you can complement the dishes with chilled drinks like fruity cocktails, champagne, basil lemonade, or simple carbonated drinks. To end the meal, you can prepare easy desserts like carrot cake, small choco-vanilla bunny-shaped cupcakes, orange salad dessert, or Easter egg cookies.
